MEET BISHOP MIXON
Sylvester Mixon Jr. planted Unity Christian Center from five people in his grandmother's living room. Nearly two decades later, it's a thriving, Spirit-filled church in Alabaster, Alabama — and Bishop Mixon's voice now reaches leaders far beyond its walls.
He serves as Senior Vice State Bishop and Director of Pastoral Development for Global United Fellowship in Alabama, providing episcopal oversight to multiple churches. He's a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach Presenter and Coach, host of the Mixon It Up podcast, SYMBIS Marriage Facilitator, and a national speaker.
His honors include Best Pastor of Shelby County (2025), the 2022 Eddy Award for Pastor of the Year, and a feature on TBN. He's a graduate of Leadership Shelby County, Class of 2023.
But the titles aren't the point. The mission is: building people, building leaders, and building culture — one leader, one church, one community at a time.
